Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Dye (ranked 150 p4p, 2281 weight class) and Pierre Ledoux (ranked 17 p4p, 304 weight class). Jack Dye has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Dye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pierre Ledoux!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dye lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Pierre Ledoux has been cut.

Ledoux feints and as Dye raises his hands in defense, Ledoux changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ledoux trying to control the position from guard on top but Dye is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ledoux with a flurry of punches that miss.
Dye knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ledoux on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Ledoux closes the distance and pushes Dye back into the cage.

Dye breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dye throws a jab when Ledoux was well out of range.
Pierre Ledoux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ledoux bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dye connects with a body shot that sends Ledoux's belly button to the back.

Ledoux is looking to clinch but Dye is avoiding it.
Dye swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Dye ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ledoux moves away.
Ledoux tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dye paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ledoux cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Ledoux looking to control but Dye is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Ledoux has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ledoux is landing with some decent strikes but Dye is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
My spies in Gym inform me that Ledoux has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

and Dye counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ledoux tries to close the distance and clinch but Dye swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ledoux.
Dye was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Pierre Ledoux comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Ledoux winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Pierre Ledoux was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
