Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Witse Beukes (ranked 5614 p4p, 3068 weight class) and Justin Mkenn (ranked 228 p4p, 143 weight class). Justin Mkenn will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Witse Beukes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Justin Mkenn!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beukes shoots in and drives through. Mkenn sprawls well.
Mkenn wants to clinch up but Beukes keeps it at a distance.
Mkenn tries to bum rush Beukes with a series of wild strikes but Beukes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Beukes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mkenn pinned against the cage. Mkenn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mkenn!

It looks like Witse Beukes has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mkenn connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Beukes's hands.
Nice uppercut lands for Mkenn. That snapped Beukes's head back.

Beukes dives in and grabs Mkenn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mkenn pushes down on Beukes's head and hops out.

Mkenn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Beukes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mkenn has managed to get both his arms back between Beukes's legs - danger averted.

Beukes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mkenn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Beukes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mkenn is aware though and is defending well.

Beukes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mkenn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Beukes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jeez, Witse Beukes's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
