Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wang Chung (ranked 2592 p4p, 3226 weight class) and Chief Red Eagle (ranked 127 p4p, 155 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wang Chung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Red Eagle!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Red Eagle moves into the clinch.
Chung misses with a punch to the body.
Chung blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Chung tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Red Eagle avoids it.
Chung has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Chung.
Red Eagle lands with a light punch inside.
Red Eagle looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Red Eagle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wang Chung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Red Eagle instigates a clinch.
Red Eagle works on Chung's body with a couple of short punches.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Chung content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Red Eagle can do anything to dispel that myth.
Chung's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Red Eagle wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Chung swings wildly with an uppercut but Red Eagle uses good head movement to avoid it.

Red Eagle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Chung tries a body shot but Red Eagle blocks it.
Red Eagle blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Chung drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Red Eagle gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Chung has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Red Eagle clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Chung has good solid back control here.
Red Eagle is trying to stand back up.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chung is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

That was a close round but I would say that Wang Chung will probably get the nod.

Red Eagle drives through and clinches with Chung against the cage.
Red Eagle tries a body shot but Chung blocks it.

Chung tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Red Eagle breaks from the clinch.

Chung has closed the distance and engaged Red Eagle in a clinch.
Chung struggles to land a body shot inside as Red Eagle controls his hands.
Red Eagle fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Chung works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Red Eagle wants to get back to his feet but Chung is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Chung seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Red Eagle wants to stand and escape but Chung is having none of it.
Chung showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Chung continues to stall.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Red Eagle pushes Chung up against the cage in a clinch.
Chung is looking for a takedown.
Red Eagle pushes Chung back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Red Eagle comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like Wang Chung has been cut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Red Eagle creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Chung drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Red Eagle manages to break the clinch.
Chung tries to clinch up.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Red Eagle! But no joy.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Chung dodges the punch combination from Red Eagle.

Red Eagle forces Chung back against the cage and clinches.
Red Eagle lands a damaging elbow.
Red Eagle lands with a left to the head.
Red Eagle scores with a hook to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Red Eagle.
Red Eagle lands a left hand that snaps the head of Chung backwards.
Red Eagle lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Red Eagle lands a right hand that snaps the head of Chung backwards.
Chung tries to work over Red Eagle's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Red Eagle creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Chung's defenses.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Red Eagle pushes Chung against the cage. Red Eagle is working some dirty boxing. Red Eagle pushes off with a quick right hook! Chung goes down! Chung tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Red Eagle moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chief Red Eagle!
Chief Red Eagle got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
