The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald connects with a good right hand that stumbles Narushima . Narushima circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
McDonald pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
McDonald throws a lazy right hand but Narushima sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sloppy strikes from McDonald. Those never looked like landing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Narushima ! But no joy.
Narushima walks into a jab.

It looks like Leonardo Narushima has been cut.
McDonald swings away with a body shot that misses
and Narushima counters with an inside leg kick.
McDonald throws a lazy uppercut
and Narushima counters with a leg kick.
That kick from Narushima tenderised McDonald's leg. McDonald is trying to keep his angry face on.
McDonald sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
McDonald swings widly with a right hand
and Narushima counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Jim Bob McDonald has been cut.
McDonald darts in trying to clinch
and Narushima makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
McDonald is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jim Bob McDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McDonald misses with a jab to the body
and Narushima counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Narushima connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McDonald's hands.
Narushima lands with a thumping leg kick.

McDonald takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Narushima has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McDonald tries to move into range but Narushima moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Narushima lunges in with a left hook that violently twists McDonald head around and knocks him out cold! Narushima hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
