Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Rowley (ranked 2780 p4p, 3891 weight class) and Dominick Hasek (ranked 234 p4p, 297 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephen Rowley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dominick Hasek!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hasek is looking to clinch but Rowley is avoiding it.
It looked like Rowley was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Hasek.
Rowley punishes Hasek's body with a nice straight punch.
Rowley cracks Hasek with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Hasek misses with a takedown
and Rowley counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rowley lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A jab lands there for Rowley.
Nice body punch from Rowley.
Hasek has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rowley.
Rowley lands a slapping body shot.
Hasek takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head kick from Rowley lands but Hasek takes it in his stride.
Rowley looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hasek's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rowley connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hasek scrambles back to his feet.

Hasek clinches.
A shot in the inside from Rowley.

Rowley manages to break the clinch.
Hasek moves in looking to clinch but Rowley pushes him off.
Rowley appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Rowley scores with a body shot.
Rowley dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Hasek tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Rowley counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Rowley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hasek to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hasek looks winded!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rowley working for a triangle but Hasek defends it easily.
Rowley has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Rowley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hasek is controlling him.

Rowley is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Hasek must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hasek wants to get up but he can't break Rowley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Rowley is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Rowley is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rowley is pulling down on Hasek's head. It's preventing any offense from Hasek, at least for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Rowley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hasek defends well.
Rowley seems keen to control Hasek's posture.
Hasek loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rowley is adopting a defensive guard.

Rowley has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hasek should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rowley has tightened it up now! Hasek should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
