The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korolev fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Badmus getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

It looks like Alexander Korolev has been cut.
Badmus misses with an uppercut. Korolev saw that one coming.
Korolev misses with a body kick.
Badmus ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Korolev takes a jab right on the kisser.
Korolev lands a nice shot to the body.
A big left from Badmus misses.
Korolev throws a hook but Badmus blocks it.
Badmus has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Korolev.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Badmus swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A punch lands to the side of Badmus 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Korolev gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Badmus tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Korolev gets to his feet. Badmus looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Korolev throws a looping overhand right but Badmus ducks down to avoid it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Korolev.
Badmus uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Korolev.
Badmus misses with a hook.
Badmus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Korolev.
Badmus moves away from the strike by Korolev.
Korolev takes a shot right to the bread basket.
The fighters circling - Badmus throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Badmus misses with a wild combination.

Some wild striking there from Korolev.
Korolev fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Badmus manages to avoid it.

Badmus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Korolev was well out of range. Poor timing from Badmus.

Badmus appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Korolev throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Korolev lands with a big left! Badmus is wobbled badly! Korolev comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Badmus to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
