Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesper Janssens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyler Foster!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foster has closed the distance and engaged Janssens in a clinch.

Foster has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Janssens clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Janssens covering up well and avoiding damage.

Janssens is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Janssens is trying to stand back up.
Foster has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Foster has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Janssens's body.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Janssens is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Janssens defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Foster is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Foster gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Foster gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Foster apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Foster. No joy for Janssens on that attempt.
Foster closes the distance and clinches up with Janssens, looking for a takedown. Foster pushes Janssens against the cage but Janssens circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
It looked like Janssens was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Foster pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Foster counters with a single leg into guard. Janssens didn't expect that.
Foster controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Let's hope that Foster has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Foster working his ground and pound in the gym.
Janssens is trying to keep Foster in close.

Janssens scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Foster shoots in but Janssens avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Foster closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Janssens quickly recovers to half guard.

Janssens is taking a breather. Foster says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Janssens wants to control from the top but Foster keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Foster is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Janssens defends well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Janssens passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Foster!

Janssens tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Foster is trying desperately to improve position.

Janssens takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Janssens can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Foster is looking to escape.
Janssens lands a heavy elbow.

Foster is looking to improve his position but Janssens isn't that keen on the idea.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Foster gets caught napping as Janssens dives in and scores a takedown. Foster manages to retain guard.

Janssens got a little sloppy there for a moment and Foster has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Janssens has managed to get both his arms back between Foster's legs - danger averted.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Janssens cracks Foster with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Janssens is landing with some decent strikes but Foster is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Janssens lands a couple of good shots and Foster has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Janssens lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Foster hold on?!
Janssens biding his time, looking for the opening.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee is taking a good look at Foster as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Janssens!
