The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This has been an exciting period of action!

and Jack cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dawkins shoots in looking for a takedown. Jack tries to sprawl out of it but Dawkins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jack manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jerome Dawkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jack shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dawkins eats them both and turns towards Jack to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

As Jack tries to get set, Dawkins tries to push him back and clinch up but Jack manages to avoid the attempt.
Dawkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jack tries to avoid it but Dawkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jack to the ground. Jack escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Dawkins. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
