The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garak has closed the distance and engaged Flynn in a clinch.

Flynn pulls guard.
Garak trying to control the position from guard on top but Flynn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Garak is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Flynn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Garak on the ground.
Flynn is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Garak sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Flynn's guard.
Garak is keen to just control but Flynn is a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
