The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter misses with a double jab

and Carter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hunter won't be happy with that.
Hunter is looking to regain half guard here but Carter keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Carter is nestled in close to Hunter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Carter lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hunter down.
Hunter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Hunter takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Carter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hunter can do anything to dispel that myth.

Carter postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Hunter badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Carter around the waist but Carter pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Carter is the winner by TKO! Carter jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
