Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronaldo Gomes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yoji Anjo Anjo!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Gomes has gone for a leg lock! Anjo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gomes's guard.
Gomes working for submissions but it's allowed Anjo to get to half guard.
Anjo seems to be working for a kimura but Gomes defends the submission attempt.
Anjo looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Anjo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gomes keeps working.
Gomes wants to improve his position but Anjo is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gomes makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gomes.
Gomes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Anjo is one step ahead there.

Anjo trying to control but Gomes is working from the bottom.
Gomes tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gomes is looking to cinch up a triangle. Anjo throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gomes's body to avoid the submission. Gomes has instead reached around Anjo's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gomes arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
