PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aldemir Santos (ranked 2915 p4p, 5011 weight class) and Harold Feeny (ranked 395 p4p, 535 weight class). Feeny has chosen Metallica: Through the Never as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Santos counters with a shoot takedown. Feeny fights it but they end up in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Feeny can do anything to dispel that myth.
Santos is fighting to break Feeny's control of his arms but Feeny is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Santos tries to free his leg and advance position but Feeny is retaining full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Santos has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Feeny is bucking up trying to escape but Santos cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Santos swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Feeny is now in Santos's guard. A big mistake from Santos there, giving up the dominant position!

Santos is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Feeny is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santos lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

It looks like Feeny might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Oooooh!!! Feeny has knocked Santos down with a huge combo! Feeny steps away and waves a wobbly Santos back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Aldemir Santos has been cut.
Feeny drops Santos with a straight right hand, right on the button! Feeny follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
