Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Jacobs (ranked 3429 p4p, 4956 weight class) and Pellinore Listenoise (ranked 382 p4p, 500 weight class). Pellinore Listenoise will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Listenoise closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Listenoise misses with a knee strike.
Listenoise pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Jacobs tries to break free but Listenoise pushes him back against the cage.
Listenoise pushes Jacobs back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Jacobs goes for a takedown attempt but Listenoise pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jacobs clinches up with Listenoise and pushes him back against the cage.
Listenoise connects with a nasty looking knee right to Jacobs's face.

It looks like Henry Jacobs has been cut.
Listenoise throws an elbow but it misses.
Jacobs is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Jacobs breaks the clinch.
Listenoise shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jacobs defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Listenoise clinches up with Jacobs and pushes him back against the cage.
Oh Jacobs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I was talking to Jacobs's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jacobs fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Jacobs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Listenoise lands with a right to the head.
Listenoise jerks Jacobs's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Jacobs drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Listenoise goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Listenoise because Jacobs was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
