PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gothic Line (ranked 188 p4p, 73 weight class) and Kjetil Olsen (ranked 28 p4p, 12 weight class). Olsen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Liberty by LXST CXNTURY. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gothic Line!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kjetil Olsen!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Line throws the left hand but Olsen avoids the punch easily.
A big left from Olsen misses.
Line throws a head kick but Olsen moves out of range.
Olsen lands a leg kick that knocks Line off balance momentarily.
Olsen misses with the combination.
Olsen cracks Line with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Line throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Olsen to counter with a crisp jab.
Olsen slips a straight right by Line.
Olsen looks to land a right hand but Line moved out of range.
Line swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Olsen pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A little feinted left hand from Line on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nice uppercut lands for Olsen. That snapped Line's head back.
Line throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Olsen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Olsen drops Line with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Line looks back up at him and smiles so Olsen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Olsen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Olsen lands an uppercut, right on the button! Line tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
