Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Uncle Ben (ranked 4037 p4p, 4039 weight class) and Richard Kalua (ranked 447 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalua has chosen Blowin' in the Wind - Bob Dylan as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Uncle Ben!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Richard Kalua!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalua closes the distance and clinches.
Ben breaks the clinch.
Kalua works the jab nicely.
Ben misses with a two punch combination.
And Kalua tries to counter it with a takedown but Ben pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Ben rushes Kalua and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kalua breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kalua slips under a jab from Ben.
Ben shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ben was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kalua is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kalua looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Ben not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ben knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kalua on the ground.
Ben landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Kalua wants to control but Ben is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ben prevents Kalua from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ben drops an elbow to the side of Kalua's head.
Ben is keen to just control but Kalua is a slippery customer.
Kalua is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ben is trying to work for a kimura but Kalua is defending well.
Kalua is pressing down on Ben's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Ben stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Ben throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kalua was covering up waiting for the punch and Ben finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kalua will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ben stands and steps away. Kalua gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ben has managed to clinch.
Kalua has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ben after a bit of a struggle.
Kalua stalling.
Ben breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ben stuffs the takedown attempt from Kalua. Kalua gets slowly back to his feet.
Ben tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kalua shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ben sprawls well. Ben wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kalua gets slowly back to his feet.
Uncle Ben has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Kalua.
Ben moves away from the strike by Kalua.
A combination from Ben does no damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kalua tries to sprawl but Ben drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Nice strikes from Ben there.
Kalua is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ben lands a big elbow - Kalua is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Ben!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Uncle Ben!
An out of breath Uncle Ben thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
