Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr Pervitin (ranked 1576 p4p, 1227 weight class) and Free Waterfall Jr (ranked 207 p4p, 163 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mr Pervitin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Free Waterfall Jr!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waterfall Jr chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Pervitin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Waterfall Jr gets caught flat footed, as Pervitin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Waterfall Jr is trying to keep Pervitin in close.
Waterfall Jr preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Pervitin wants to control from the top but Waterfall Jr keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Waterfall Jr looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pervitin has picked Waterfall Jr up and slammed him! Waterfall Jr can't keep hold of the triangle and Pervitin manages to pass to side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pervitin gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Pervitin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Waterfall Jr paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pervitin needs to keep his hands up - Waterfall Jr had a free shot at his head there.
Pervitin throws out a powerful jab.
Waterfall Jr bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Free Waterfall Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Waterfall Jr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pervitin manages to avoid it.
And Pervitin counters with a quick kick to the body but Waterfall Jr blocks it.
Waterfall Jr misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pervitin.
Waterfall Jr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pervitin.
Waterfall Jr throws a hook but Pervitin blocks it.

Free Waterfall Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Waterfall Jr uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pervitin.
Pervitin just misses with a punch to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Pervitin looks to land a right hand but Waterfall Jr moved out of range.

and Waterfall Jr counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Waterfall Jr stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pervitin.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Pervitin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Free Waterfall Jr dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Pervitin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

and Pervitin counters with a shoot takedown. Waterfall Jr fights it but they end up in guard.

Waterfall Jr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pervitin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pervitin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Waterfall Jr felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Pervitin has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Waterfall Jr is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Pervitin yanks on the arm and Waterfall Jr is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Pervitin.
