Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anno Bik (ranked 2085 p4p, 2545 weight class) and Bartholomew Bainbridge (ranked 295 p4p, 351 weight class). Bartholomew Bainbridge acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anno Bik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bartholomew Bainbridge!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bainbridge missing with a left hand there. Bik was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bik scores with a one two! Bainbridge had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Bainbridge lands a nice looking body shot.

Bik closes the distance and pushes Bainbridge back into the cage.

Bik breaks from the clinch.
Bik wants to clinch up but Bainbridge keeps it at a distance.
Anno Bik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bainbridge ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Bainbridge rushes Bik and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bik has Bainbridge pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bainbridge manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bainbridge manages to break the clinch.
Bainbridge looks to land a left hand but Bik moved out of range nicely.
Bik connects with a right hand. Bainbridge shakes it off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bik fails with the takedown
and Bainbridge cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Anno Bik has been cut.

Bainbridge darts in and clinches Bik up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bik wants to take the fight to the mat but Bainbridge manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anno Bik. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bik wants a takedown.
Bainbridge gets through Bik's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Bik is trying to trip Bainbridge. He has hold of a leg but Bainbridge is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bik persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Bainbridge told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Bik wants to control from the top but Bainbridge keeps moving.

Bik drops back looking for a leg! Bainbridge is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bainbridge manages to kick Bik off! Bik jumps back into Bainbridge's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bainbridge is on top in guard.

Bainbridge stays in close to Bik's body and controls the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bainbridge is continuing to stall.

Bainbridge stands and steps away. Bik gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Bik scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bainbridge in his tracks.
Bik has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bainbridge takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bainbridge throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Bik stumbling backwards into the cage! Bik bounces back off the cage towards Bainbridge, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Bainbridge lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Bainbridge celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Bartholomew Bainbridge!
Bartholomew Bainbridge decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
