The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paa connects with a body shot that sends Luciano's belly button to the back.
Luciano jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Luciano takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Paa scores with a nice right hand.
Iso Paa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luciano chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Paa can pounce on him.
Paa looks to throw the jab but Luciano is out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Luciano on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Luciano has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Luciano got a little sloppy there for a moment and Paa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Luciano has managed to get both his arms back between Paa's legs - danger averted.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Luciano lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Paa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Luciano as he avoids it easily.
Luciano appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Luciano bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Paa. Luciano does a little dance to reset his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters circling - Luciano throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Luciano lands a big right hand that sends Paa crashing to the mat! Luciano stays standing though and waves Paa back to his feet!

Paa tries to clinch but Luciano is having none of it.

Luciano uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Paa.
Luciano cracks Paa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
