The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldrich uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rocha.

Aldrich drives through and clinches with Rocha against the cage.

Rocha tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

A nice right hand lands inside from Rocha.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rocha has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

It looked like Aldrich was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Aldrich drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rocha gets the underhooks and prevents it.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Aldrich just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rocha's brow.

Aldrich has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
