Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Petrov moves out of range of the strikes.
Maldonado tries to work over Petrov's front leg with a kick but Petrov checks it.
It looked like Petrov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Petrov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maldonado manages to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Petrov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Petrov throws a jab but it's blocked by Maldonado.
Petrov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Petrov feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Maldonado throws a sloppy head kick and Petrov moves out of range easily.
Petrov fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Maldonado.
Petrov misses with an attempted mid kick.

Maldonado takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Petrov scoring well with a low kick there.
Petrov cracks Maldonado with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Maldonado's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Petrov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Maldonado scrambles back to his feet.

Petrov drops Maldonado with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Maldonado looks back up at him and smiles so Petrov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Maldonado is still on wobbly legs! Can Petrov finish him?
Petrov cracks Maldonado with a hook to the temple - Maldonado is on wobbly legs here! Petrov swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Maldonado falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Petrov wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Vasil Petrov!
