Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hurry Fobbs (ranked 3370 p4p, 3575 weight class) and Fernand Legrand (ranked 438 p4p, 458 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fernand Legrand!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legrand tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fobbs sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Legrand somewhat.
Fobbs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Legrand.
Legrand takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Legrand will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hurry Fobbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernand Legrand.

Legrand feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Legrand works to advance to full mount. Fobbs defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Fobbs avoids a series of strikes thrown by Legrand.

Legrand moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Fobbs has worked his arm free - good work by Fobbs!

Fobbs takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Legrand working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Legrand is staying tight to Fobbs's torso, preventing him from escaping.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Legrand throws an elbow but Fobbs slips to the side and avoids it well.

Legrand has an Americana. Fobbs didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Legrand is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Legrand hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
