Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Reed (ranked 281 p4p, 220 weight class) and Roger Michael Stanley (ranked 46 p4p, 35 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 17 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Roger Michael Stanley!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed lands a nice shot to the body.
Stanley misses with a wild body shot.
Crunch! Reed slams his shin into Stanley's torso.
Reed plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Reed pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stanley walks into a stiff left hand from Reed.
A low kick lands for Reed.
Reed lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Reed thows a leg kick but Stanley checks it
and Stanley counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Reed thinking.
Reed throws a head kick but Stanley moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Reed darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Ben Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reed throws a wild body kick that Stanley sees coming a mile off.
Reed listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Stanley connects with a solid leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Stanley crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Reed - the referee stops the clock and Stanley gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Reed. Stanley manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Reed throws a nice inside leg kick.
Stanley blocks a leg kick.
Stanley loads up on a big right hand but Reed slips the punch.
Reed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reed really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Stanley jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Reed avoids a kick to the body.
An attempted straight right counter from Reed misses the target.
Reed bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Stanley moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Reed misses with a wild body shot.
Reed scores with a jab to the body.
Reed has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Crapollas Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Stanley moves out of range as Reed throws a body kick.
Reed lands a glancing blow to the side of Stanley's head.

Reed scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stanley checks a leg kick.
Reed slips a straight right by Stanley.
Reed thuds his right hand into Stanley's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A nice inside leg kick there by Reed. That's going to slow Stanley down.
Reed wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Reed pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
It seemed like Stanley was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Reed swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Reed counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Stanley counters with a nice uppercut.
Reed fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Reed looks to throw a body kick
and Stanley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Reed pushes Stanley away with a front kick.
Stanley keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Reed connects with an inside leg kick.
Stanley staying out of range there.
Stanley misses with a double jab.
Stanley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reed looks to land a left hand but Stanley moved out of range nicely.
Stanley lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Reed goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reed takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Stanley misses with a hook. Reed ducked under it nicely.
Reed throws a body kick that misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Stanley! But no joy.
Reed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Reed is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Reed ducks under a wild hook from Stanley.
Reed goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Reed tests Stanley's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Reed looks to land a body kick but Stanley moved away.
A jab from Stanley misses.
Stanley throws a lazy right hand but Reed sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Reed ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Reed throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Stanley is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Stanley drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Reed fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stanley looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Reed checks a low kick from Stanley.
Reed swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Reed throws a body shot but no joy.
Reed scores with a hook.
Stanley misses with a hook. Reed ducked under it nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from Reed misses the target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reed swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Reed punishes Stanley's body with a nice straight punch.
Reed misses with a looping right.
Stanley throws a hook but Reed blocks it.

Stanley walks into a left hand.
Reed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stanley swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Reed misses with a low kick.
Reed throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Stanley might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Reed has got the better of the exchanges.

Reed is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Stanley throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Stanley lands a leg kick that knocks Reed off balance momentarily.
Reed throws a nice looking combination but Stanley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Stanley chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Reed can pounce on him.

Reed is rocked!
Reed is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stanley can do to turn this around?
Reed glances at the clock... BAM! Stanley nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Reed crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Reed is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Roger Michael Stanley!
Roger Michael Stanley seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
