Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Garver (ranked 4184 p4p, 5988 weight class) and Owen Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stephen Garver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Owen Duncan!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garver avoids the head kick by Duncan.
Garver feinted with a counter takedown.
Garver throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Duncan.
Duncan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Garver clinches.
Garver manages to break the clinch.

and Duncan counters with a nice body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Duncan is defended easily by Garver.
Garver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duncan's waist but Duncan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Garver off to one side.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Duncan.
Duncan shoots for a double leg takedown but Garver sprawls well. He's pushed Duncan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Garver clinches up with Duncan and pushes him back against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garver is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Duncan defends well.

Duncan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Garver tries to score a power double leg takedown but Duncan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Garver somewhat.
Duncan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Garver as he jumps to the side.
Garver closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Duncan's guard.
Duncan is working an open guard so Garver takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Garver's jab looks to have found its range, popping Duncan under the eye.
Garver tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Duncan defends well and Garver ends up having to push Duncan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Garver keeps control of Duncan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Garver is trying to trip Duncan. He has hold of a leg but Duncan is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Garver persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Duncan is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Garver dives into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
