Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dwalin Broadaxe (ranked 2318 p4p, 3694 weight class) and AdmiralGeneral Aladeen (ranked 220 p4p, 325 weight class). Aladeen has chosen Gogol Bordello - Wonderlust King as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Dwalin Broadaxe has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dwalin Broadaxe seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broadaxe shoots in looking for a takedown but Aladeen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Broadaxe's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Aladeen looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Broadaxe drops down looking for a counter takedown but Aladeen sprawls and moves away.

Aladeen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Aladeen wants to pass the guard but Broadaxe is keeping the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Broadaxe fails in his attempt to clinch.
Aladeen throws out a counter right but Broadaxe avoids it with no problem.
Aladeen misses with a looping left.
Aladeen throws a looping overhand right but Broadaxe ducks down to avoid it.
AdmiralGeneral Aladeen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Broadaxe decides to pull guard.
Aladeen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Let's hope that Aladeen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Aladeen is continuing to stall.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Broadaxe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Aladeen defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Broadaxe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aladeen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Aladeen misses with an uppercut. Broadaxe saw that one coming.
Broadaxe half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Broadaxe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Aladeen counter with a right hand.
Aladeen is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Broadaxe wants to clinch.

Broadaxe closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Aladeen's guard.

Aladeen scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Aladeen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Broadaxe shoots for a double leg takedown but Aladeen sprawls well. He's pushed Broadaxe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Aladeen! But no joy.
Aladeen lands a jab to the nose.

Aladeen has his foot on Broadaxe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Broadaxe works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dwalin Broadaxe.
I think Aladeen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
