Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Make Makkonen (ranked 1426 p4p, 2279 weight class) and Lucius Aurelius (ranked 66 p4p, 109 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aurelius throws a nice looking combination but Makkonen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A little feinted left hand from Makkonen on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Makkonen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Lucius Aurelius has been cut.
Aurelius defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Makkonen.
Aurelius swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Aurelius swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Aurelius fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Makkonen manages to avoid it.

Makkonen moves into the clinch successfully.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Aurelius.

Makkonen gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Makkonen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Makkonen is nestled in close to Aurelius, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Makkonen passes the guard and advances to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Makkonen lands a big shot there that rocks Aurelius but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Aurelius is desperately trying to improve his position but Makkonen has a good base and remains in mount.

Makkonen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
