Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stanislav Strakapoud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kaarlo Susi!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Susi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Susi misses with the body kick
and Strakapoud holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Susi misses with a hook from the clinch.
Strakapoud misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Susi.
Susi manages to break the clinch.
Susi on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Strakapoud slips under a jab.
Strakapoud seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Strakapoud walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
A big right from Susi misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Susi looks for the body kick but Strakapoud saw that one coming.
The fighters circling - Susi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Strakapoud wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Susi tries to score with a low kick but Strakapoud moves his leg out of the way.
Nice defenses there by Strakapoud.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Susi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Susi looks to throw the jab but Strakapoud is out of range.
Strakapoud was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Strakapoud takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kaarlo Susi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick by Susi misses
and Susi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Strakapoud avoids the head kick by Susi.
Susi tries a head kick but it misses.
Susi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Strakapoud manages to avoid it.
As Susi tries to get set, Strakapoud tries to push him back and clinch up but Susi manages to avoid the attempt.
Susi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A little feinted left hand from Strakapoud on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Strakapoud drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Susi misses with a hook.
Strakapoud takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Susi drops Strakapoud with a straight right hand, right on the button! Susi follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kaarlo Susi!
