The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov looks for a takedown but Belmond sprawls well.
Belmond only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Magomedov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Magomedov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Magomedov is looking for a kimura but Belmond is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Magomedov to get the leverage.

Belmond felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Magomedov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Belmond doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Magomedov.
Belmond has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Magomedov is working away from the top position though.

Magomedov has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Belmond is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Magomedov yanks on the arm and Belmond is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Magomedov.
