The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merel digs a good body shot into Phontana's ribs.
Merel blocks the body kick.
Phontana throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Merel sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Phontana walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Phontana throws a push kick but Merel slaps the foot to one side.
Merel misses with a wild body shot.
A swing and a miss from Phontana.
Phontana takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Phontana lands an overhand right.
It looks like Anthony Merel has been cut.
The crowd cheers as Merel lands an impressive looking overhand right. Phontana doesn't seem phased though.
Phontana lands a glancing blow to the side of Merel's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Phontana tries to clinch but Merel moves out of range.
Merel lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Phontana is rocked!
Merel moves in close and cracks Phontana with a massive right hand! Phontana, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Merel!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Anthony Merel!
