Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Peterson (ranked 269 p4p, 198 weight class) and Ife Edwards (ranked 43 p4p, 37 weight class). Edwards has chosen Damian Marley - Road to Zion as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dylan Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ife Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Peterson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Edwards's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Edwards uses his free foot to push down on Peterson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Peterson.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Peterson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Edwards can do to turn this around?
Peterson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Peterson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Peterson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Edwards tries to avoid it but Peterson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Edwards to the ground. Edwards escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Edwards! But no joy.
Edwards lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Peterson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Edwards.

Peterson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Peterson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Edwards stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Edwards takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Peterson cracks Edwards with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Peterson gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Edwards gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Peterson is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
