Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Falcon (ranked 1774 p4p, 2846 weight class) and Cajetan Shashi (ranked 223 p4p, 350 weight class). Falcon comes into the arena with O Retrô Ativo - Heróis do Status Quo blaring out of the sound system. Jack Falcon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Falcon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cajetan Shashi!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shashi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Falcon is looking for a counter combo.
Shashi ducks right into an uppercut from Falcon.
Shashi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Falcon. Those never looked like landing.
Shashi tries to close the distance and clinch but Falcon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Falcon fails with a takedown attempt.
Shashi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Shashi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Falcon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shashi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Falcon has managed to get both his arms back between Shashi's legs - danger averted.

Shashi looking for subs off his back but Falcon has passed one foot through into half guard.
Falcon prevents Shashi from improving his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shashi tries to get to full guard but Falcon has control of the leg.

Falcon slips a nice elbow through Shashi's hands, connecting with Shashi's forehead.

Falcon moves nicely into side control.
Shashi is looking for a sweep.
Falcon in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Falcon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shashi keeps working.
Shashi takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Falcon trying to control the action but Shashi is working from the bottom.
Falcon controls the position.

Shashi tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Shashi regains half guard.
Shashi is looking to improve his position.
Shashi is looking to control Falcon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Shashi avoid being mounted?
Falcon uses his free foot to push down on Shashi's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Shashi.
Falcon landing strikes from the mount and Shashi is in trouble!

Shashi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Shashi is still in real trouble! Can Falcon finish him?

Falcon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Shashi looks a forlorn figure.
A big strike lands for Falcon! That's really hurt Shashi and he's turned his back - Falcon keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Falcon jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Falcon!
After winning the bout, Jack Falcon thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
