PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jorger Duran (ranked 4109 p4p, 3346 weight class) and Denk Ops (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Denk Ops was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Denk Ops!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duran darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Duran slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ops is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Duran pulls his head out easily.
Duran content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Duran is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ops doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Duran.
Ops is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ops misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Duran tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Ops looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Duran pushes past his half guard into mount!
Duran could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ops tries to reverse the position but Duran maintains control.
Ops is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Duran working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Ops looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Duran! Submission of the night perhaps?
