Cooke kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Harm's Way - Warriors Will Reign. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zapina lands with a slapping head kick.
Cooke moves out of range of the body kick.

Zapina instigates a clinch.
Cooke tries to score a body lock takedown but Zapina shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Zapina stops a takedown attempt from Cooke.

Cooke gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Zapina is pulling down on Cooke's head to control his posture.

Cooke drops back looking for a leg! Zapina is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zapina manages to kick Cooke off! Cooke jumps back into Zapina's guard.
Cooke pushes down on Zapina's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cooke has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Zapina defend it? Cooke steps over the head and cranks it - Zapina is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Cooke!
