Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nilson Acacio (ranked 3768 p4p, 3846 weight class) and Shinya Ikeda (ranked 341 p4p, 344 weight class). Nilson Acacio could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shinya Ikeda's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nilson Acacio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinya Ikeda!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ikeda throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Acacio counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Acacio misses with a wild body shot.
Despite the aggression on Ikeda's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Ikeda instigates a clinch.
Ikeda's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
A left hand lands to the body for Acacio.
Ikeda breaks from the clinch.
Acacio has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ikeda is looking to score with low kicks.
Ikeda slips a jab from Acacio.
Ikeda clinches.
Ikeda swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Acacio tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Acacio working some nice short punches in the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Acacio goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Ikeda is rocked!
Ikeda goes for a takedown in the clinch but Acacio prevents it.
Acacio lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Ikeda is still on wobbly legs! Can Acacio finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round.
Acacio lands with a left to the head.
Ikeda has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Acacio after a bit of a struggle.
Acacio scores with a nice hook to the head.
Ikeda's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ikeda walks into a jab.
Acacio just misses with a punch to the body.
Acacio throws a looping overhand right but Ikeda ducks down to avoid it.
Ikeda takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nilson Acacio is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Acacio throws a body punch but Ikeda moves out of range.
Ikeda with a lazy takedown attempt
and Acacio counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Ikeda out cold! What a finish! Acacio is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nilson Acacio!
