PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Better Dead (ranked 1486 p4p, 2021 weight class) and Roman Kos (ranked 207 p4p, 263 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Better Dead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roman Kos!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Hugh Johnson and Darius Henderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kos throws a shot to the body.
Dead steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kos.
Kos loads up on a big right hand but Dead slips the punch.
Dead takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kos slips under a jab from Dead.
Kos throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dead looks to score with a jab to the body but Kos is just out of range.
Dead lands with a nice body punch.
Kos lands a glancing blow to the side of Dead's head.
Dead throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dead scores with a nice strike.

It looks like Roman Kos has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kos jabs Dead right on the nose. Dead blinks but takes it well.
Kos shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dead eats them both and turns towards Kos to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kos goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Kos showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dead.
Kos takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Dead really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dead moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kos throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Good exchange - Dead coming out on top.
Kos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dead cracks Kos with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Dead lands a nice shot to the body.
Dead blocks a head kick by Kos.
Kos gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dead.
Dead connects with a jab.
Dead is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kos jabs Dead right on the nose. Dead blinks but takes it well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dead rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kos counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kos moves out of range as Dead strikes.
It looks like Dead has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
The fighters circling - Kos throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dead scores with a jab to the jaw.
Kos takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kos throws a series of punches but Dead avoids them all with ease.
Dead loads up on a big right hand but Kos slips the punch.
and Dead counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Kos! He's just covering up as Dead starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Better Dead!
