Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Minoari Amida (ranked 2716 p4p, 2540 weight class) and Fela Kuti (ranked 355 p4p, 338 weight class). Kuti has chosen Expensive Shit as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuti just misses with a punch to the body.
Amida feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kutis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kuti takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Kuti slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Minoari Amida has been cut.
Amida looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Amida uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kuti.
Kuti lands the left hand.
Kuti gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Amida tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kuti punishes Amida's body with a nice straight punch.
Amida dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kuti. That did some damage!
Kuti swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kuti loads up on a big right hand but Amida slips the punch.

Kuti checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Amida takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kuti throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Amida stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd cheers as Amida lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kuti doesn't seem phased though.
A nice inside leg kick there by Amida. That's going to slow Kuti down.
Amida connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kuti's hands.
Nice uppercut lands for Amida. That snapped Kuti's head back.

Kuti takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Amida throws the kick towards the body but Kuti avoids it.
Kuti chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Amida can pounce on him.
Kuti misses with an uppercut. Amida saw that one coming.
Kuti thuds his right hand into Amida's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Amida uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kuti.

Kuti loads up on a big right hand but Amida slips the punch.

Amida looks for the body kick but Kuti saw that one coming.
It seemed like Kuti was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kuti throws a jab when Amida was well out of range.
Amida throws a body punch but Kuti moves out of range.
Kuti thows a left - swing and a miss!

Amida lands a lovely overhand right.

Amida looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Amida wants to clinch up but Kuti keeps it at a distance.
Kuti looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Minoari Amida will probably get the nod.

Kuti bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Amida's head backwards.

Amida is rocked!
Amida get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Amida stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Kuti runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
