The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres throws a sloppy head kick and Nickels moves out of range easily.
Nickels is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Nickels throws a shot to the body.
Nickels tries to clinch up.
Nickels misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nickels just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromTorres.
Torres avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nickels throws a combination that misses
and Torres counters with a stiff right hand.
Torres is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Jimmy Nickels has been cut.
Torres has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nickels finds it's way round the side to connect with Torres's head.
Nickels gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Torres counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nickels ducks right into an uppercut from Torres.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Torres throws a jab but it's blocked by Nickels.

Torres throws a lazy right hand but Nickels sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nickels tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Torres paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Nickels pushes Torres up against the cage in a clinch.
The referee calls for Nickels to work.

Torres escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nickels ducks under a wild hook from Torres.
Torres lands with a kick to the temple. Nickels shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Nickels fails to land the takedown.
Nickels avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Torres misses the jab.
Torres throws a hook but Nickels blocks it.
Torres looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Nickels fails with an attempt to clinch.

Nickels has managed to clinch.
Nickels lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Torres backwards.
Torres is trying to force a seperation but Nickels has the dominant position.
Nickels looking for a takedown.
Nickels tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Torres avoids it.
Nickels has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Torres after a bit of a struggle.
Miguel Torres has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Nickels.
Nickels trying to stall but Torres improves his position.
Torres looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Torres breaks the clinch.

Nickels tries to close the distance and clinch up but Torres swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Torres defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nickels.

Torres blocks the body kick.
Torres blocks a head kick by Nickels.
Nickels displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Torres throws out the jab.
Torres thows a left - swing and a miss!
Torres keeps the fight on the outside.
Torres finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nickels drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Torres defends it well.

Torres gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Nickels wants to control from the top but Torres keeps moving.

Torres is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Nickels has his hands clasped together but Torres extends and breaks Nickels's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Torres.
