Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grip Schnieder (ranked 2962 p4p, 3039 weight class) and Maxton Hefferman (ranked 75 p4p, 0 weight class). Hefferman has chosen enemies as his entrance music. Maxton Hefferman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schnieder shoots in for a takedown but Hefferman shows good takedown defense.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Schnieder perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hefferman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hefferman tries to lock up and control but Schnieder gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Schnieder can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hefferman is looking to escape.

Hefferman changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Schnieder connects with a nice short shot to Hefferman's temple.

Schnieder uses his free foot to push down on Hefferman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hefferman.

Schnieder swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
