Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brusse Liee (ranked 2973 p4p, 4660 weight class) and Cajetan Shashi (ranked 378 p4p, 507 weight class). Liee comes into the arena with Disturbed - Indestructible [Official Music Video] blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brusse Liee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cajetan Shashi!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liee finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Liee moves out of range of the strikes.
Liee bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A nice inside leg kick there by Liee. That's going to slow Shashi down.
Shashi misses with a double jab.

Shashi shoots in and gets a takedown into Liee's guard.
Shashi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Shashi drops back, looking for a kneebar! Liee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Liee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Liee!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shashi tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Liee trying to control the position but Shashi is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shashi is trying to improve his position.
Liee working away.

Liee stands up and beckons Shashi to his feet.
Liee misses with a double jab.
Liee misses with a body shot.
Liee tries to bum rush Shashi with a series of wild strikes but Shashi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Liee takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Liee looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Shashi doesn't manage to clinch there - Liee circles away.
Shashi tries to clinch but Liee is having none of it.

Nice sprawl there from Liee as Shashi shoots in.
A combination from Liee does no damage.
Shashi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Shashi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Liee to the ground. Shashi is now in Liee's guard.

Shashi wanted to stand there but Liee had control of the position.

Shashi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Shashi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liee swivels though and keeps the full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shashi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Liee is on top in guard.

Shashi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Liee defends well.

Liee is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Shashi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Shashi has escaped and now he's on top!

Shashi thows a huge punch but Liee dodges it nicely.
Shashi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Liee's head.

Shashi is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Liee is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Cajetan Shashi!
