Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ed Green (ranked 434 p4p, 829 weight class) and Anwar Rinda (ranked 55 p4p, 94 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ed Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Anwar Rinda!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green moves out of range as Rinda strikes.
Rinda looks to land a right hand but Green moved out of range.
Rinda misses with a looping right.
Rinda tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Green was well out of range. Poor timing from Rinda.
Green changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Green feints and as Rinda raises his hands in defense, Green changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rinda is keeping the position for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rinda gets back to full guard.

Green tries to free his leg and advance position but Rinda is retaining full guard.

Rinda looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rinda is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Rinda is trying to improve his position.
Green passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Rinda!
Rinda sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Green is looking to pass Rinda's guard but actually Rinda recovers to full guard.
Green looking to sit in guard and control but Rinda gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rinda wants to control from the top but Green keeps moving.

That was a close round but I would say that Ed Green will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ed Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Green fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rinda to the ground. Green is now in Rinda's guard.
Green tries to free his leg and advance position but Rinda is retaining full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Green is looking to take a break and control but Rinda is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Green tries to advance position but instead Rinda slips a leg back in to half guard.

Green is thwarting Rinda's attempts to control the position.
Green is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Rinda reverses the position - he's now on top in Green's guard.
Green wants to sweep here but Rinda controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rinda is looking to take a break and control but Green is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rinda swings around for an armbar but Green sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rinda's guard.

Rinda looking for a guillotine here but Green defends easily.

Green pushes down on Rinda's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Green is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Rinda still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Rinda has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Green is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Soul Supremacy Rio, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Rinda is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Green is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ed Green will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Green takes a swing at Rinda's ribcage but misses.
Rinda looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Rinda counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Green closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Green is trying to control. Rinda wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Green wants to pass to mount but Rinda is defending the position.
Anwar Rinda has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rinda has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at London MMA Club. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Rinda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Green slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Green has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Rinda!
Rinda is squirming around, avoiding Green's attempts to control the action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ed Green.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Green, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
