Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between San Yan Chong (ranked 2371 p4p, 2012 weight class) and Jota Be (ranked 282 p4p, 253 weight class). Chong comes to the cage accompanied by Believer. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, San Yan Chong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jota Be!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chong wants to clinch up but Be keeps it at a distance.
Be doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Nice shot by Be.
San Yan Chong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chong misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Be.
Be throws a shot from downtown. Chong moves away and avoids it.
Chong blocks a jab.
Be pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Be avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Be tries a quick counter leg kick but Chong is wise to it.

Chong gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Chong.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in the clinch, Be scores with a nice short uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Chong.
Chong has a couple of punches blocked by Be.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Chong.
Still in the clinch, Chong scores with a nice short uppercut.
Chong gets through Be's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Be blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Be is trying to push Chong away but Chong has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Chong swings wildly with an uppercut but Be uses good head movement to avoid it.
Be works on Chong's body with a couple of short punches.
Be avoiding damage.
Chong tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Be lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Chong definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Be's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Be takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Chong tries to clinch up but Be circles away and keeps his distance.

Chong takes the fight into the clinch.
Nice body punch from Chong.
Chong lands a body punch in the clinch.
Be looks winded!
Chong swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Chong lands a hook to the side of the head.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Be has had enough of the clinch but Chong keeps him there for the moment.

Chong lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

It looks like Jota Be has been cut.
A short uppercut from Chong.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chong scores with a shot to the side of Be's head.
Be's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Be is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Chong lands with a left to the head.
Be wants to stall.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Chong creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Be taking a breather.
Be blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Chong swings wildly with an uppercut but Be uses good head movement to avoid it.

A short right from Chong on the inside.
Be tries to circle away but Chong has him pinned against the cage.
Be scores with a hook to the body.
Be tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Be is trying to force a seperation but Chong has the dominant position.
We've been informed that Be has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Chong lands with a short shot to the head.
Chong misses with a hook from the clinch.
Be misses with a short punch on the inside.
Chong keeps control of Be as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Be tries to break the clinch but Chong is controlling the position.

Be breaks the clinch.
Good standup being displayed there by Chong as he connects with a hook.
Be throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Chong tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Be manages to circle out of the way.

Chong clinches.
Chong keeps control of Be as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Be.

Be goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Be's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Chong cracks Be with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Be looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Chong finish him?

Be is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chong connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Be out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Our winner, San Yan Chong, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
