Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Valen Dreth (ranked 21 p4p, 73 weight class) and Eduardo Corassa (ranked 4 p4p, 10 weight class). Eduardo Corassa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 11 - 2, fighting out of New York, Eduardo Corassa!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dreth shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dreth was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Corassa is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dreth connects with a decent elbow.

Dreth works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Dreth gets to mount! Corassa was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Corassa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Dreth postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Corassa badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Dreth around the waist but Dreth pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Dreth is the winner by TKO! Dreth jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Valen Dreth retains his featherweight title!
A relieved looking Valen Dreth thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
