The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machado closes the distance and clinches.
Jamieson tries to break free but Machado pushes him back against the cage.
Machado misses with a short punch on the inside.
Machado tries to work over Jamieson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Machado tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jamieson's elbow.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Machado.
Jamieson tries to stall but Machado uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Machado stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Jamieson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Machado smiles and moves away.
Machado is looking to clinch but Jamieson is avoiding it.

Machado moves into the clinch.
Machado misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Jamieson tries a knee to the head but Machado blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jamieson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jamieson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Machado pulls him back up using the underhooks.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Machado creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
