Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lascombe shoots in but John avoids the takedown attempt easily.
John stuffs the takedown.
John throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
John throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Lascombe attempts a counter takedown but John avoids it well and moves away.
John throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
That kick from John tenderised Lascombe's leg. Lascombe is trying to keep his angry face on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
John jabs Lascombe right on the nose. Lascombe blinks but takes it well.
John is looking to slow Lascombe down with leg kicks.
John throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Lascombe.

Lascombe dives in for a single leg takedown but John sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Lascombe blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A nice right hand lands inside from John.
John fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

John goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Lascombe has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics John uses from the top position.

Lascombe is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! John has his hands clasped together but Lascombe extends and breaks John's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lascombe.
