The crowd seem to be enjoying Quark's choice of entrance music: Megadeth - Train of Consequences. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephen Hawking!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barkeep Quark!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawking has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Quark finds it's way round the side to connect with Hawking's head.
Quark looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hawking avoids the body shot from Quark.
Hawking was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Hawking displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Quark throws out the jab.
Hawking throwing a counter right hand but Quark manages to avoid it.
Quark throws a body shot but no joy.
As Quark looks to move away, Hawking throws a big counter combo but Quark just gets out of the way.
Quark shoots for a takedown but Hawking saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hawking went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Quark doesn't manage to clinch there - Hawking circles away.
Nice body punch from Hawking.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hawking has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Monkey Magic in the buildup to the fight.
Quark throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hawking sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Hawking counters with a stiff right hand.
Hawking moves out of range as Quark strikes.

and Hawking counters with a left to the body.
Quark swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Hawking counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Quark moves away from the strike by Hawking.
Hawking needs to keep his hands up - Quark had a free shot at his head there.
Stephen Hawking is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hawking uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Quark.
Hawking throws a body shot but no joy.
A swing and a miss from Quark.
Hawking lands with a straight right. Quark didn't see that one coming.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A combination from Hawking does no damage.
Quark is looking to clinch.
It looked like Hawking wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Hawking on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Good shot there by Hawking.
Quark gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Quark tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Hawking is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Quark buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Quark!! Quark is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Hawking throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephen Hawking!

During a confident post fight interview, Stephen Hawking thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
