Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rufino Gracie (ranked 3678 p4p, 2620 weight class) and Chilli Bloke (ranked 192 p4p, 146 weight class). Chilli Bloke will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chilli Bloke!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Gracie is predictable there
and Bloke counters with a series of strikes. Gracie will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bloke looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bloke jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bloke throws a hook to the side of Gracie's head but Gracie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gracie seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

We've been hearing that Gracie has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bloke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gracie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
