Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Albert White (ranked 1988 p4p, 4502 weight class) and Chris Pauschi (ranked 277 p4p, 517 weight class). Chris Pauschi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Pauschi!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pauschi scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Pauschi throws a hook to the side of White's head but White sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
White walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Pauschi gets caught napping as White dives in and scores a takedown. Pauschi manages to retain guard.
Pauschi is looking to stand up but White isn't so interested in that idea.
White pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pauschi is keeping the position for now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pauschi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
White working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pauschi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
White lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pauschi can do anything to dispel that myth.

White drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pauschi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pauschi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pauschi!

Pauschi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with White. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

White has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pauschi is working away from the top position though.
White is looking to improve his position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

White is staying active underneath Pauschi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
White scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pauschi doesn't seem bothered though.
Pauschi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Pauschi lands a nice shot that snaps White's head back.
White looks to score with a jab to the body but Pauschi is just out of range.
Pauschi now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

and White counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Chris Pauschi has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
White's corner calls for a 1-2. White obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Pauschi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pauschi is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Pauschi tries to close the distance and clinch but White swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pauschi lands with an uppercut that bounces White off the cage and back into range.

White looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pauschi is trying to maintain the position but White is very close to passing his half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Pauschi takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
White scores with a nice right hand.
White cracks Pauschi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Pauschi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from White.
Nice body punch from White.
White fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pauschi misses with a low kick.
Pauschi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and White makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Pauschi fakes the leg kick and cracks White in the body.
Pauschi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt White.
Pauschi fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
White fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
White moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

White on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pauschi misses with a hook.
White throwing a counter right hand but Pauschi manages to avoid it.
Pauschi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from White finds it's way round the side to connect with Pauschi's head.
White ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pauschi moves away.
White takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pauschi lands a nice looking body kick.
White lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pauschi circles away quickly and effectively.
Pauschi has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
White ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pauschi misses with a lunging right hand
and White counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Pauschi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and White counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pauschi won't be happy with that.
We've been hearing that White has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

White tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

White tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
White is putting a hurting on Pauschi here, landing some big shots from side control.

White thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Albert White overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pauschi is trying to control White's posture but White avoids it.

White looks up at the clock and then as Pauschi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, White smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Pauschi is working to avoid the ground and pound but White connects with a decent elbow.
Pauschi is trying to buck White off.
White advances to full mount.
White landing punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pauschi can't escape the position.
Poor strikes thrown by White there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
White wants to control the pace but Pauschi is squirming around nicely.

Pauschi is trying to defend against the choke here but White has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. White Tightens the hold and Pauschi taps out furiously! White displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
