Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Okoro Igwe (ranked 2345 p4p, 1486 weight class) and Stanislav Strakapoud (ranked 333 p4p, 225 weight class). Stanislav Strakapoud will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Okoro Igwe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stanislav Strakapoud!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Igwe throws a predictable looking body shot

and Strakapoud decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Igwe's guard.
Strakapoud stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Igwe swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Igwe has control of Strakapoud's left arm, preventing Strakapoud from doing any damage.
Strakapoud tries to free his leg and advance position but Igwe is retaining full guard.

Strakapoud is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Strakapoud's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Strakapoud felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
