The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
World throws a series of punches but Romero avoids them all with ease.
It looked like Romero was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from World.
Romero keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from World.
A little feinted left hand from Romero on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
World lands a jab to the head.
World misses with an uppercut
and World takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
World throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Romero counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Romero counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps World thinking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
World throws an off balance right hand
and Romero counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
World misses with a straight right.

World tries to score a power double leg takedown but Romero sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten World somewhat.
World rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Romero counters with a nice uppercut.

and Romero counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Romero counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

World rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Romero moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Romero was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
