Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aleksandar Dobrosavljevic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Handerson!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Handerson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dobrosavljevic on his heels. He'll look to pass Dobrosavljevic's guard now, I'm sure.
Dobrosavljevic keeping moving, preventing Handerson from controlling successfully.
Handerson distracts Dobrosavljevic with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Dobrosavljevic is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Handerson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Dobrosavljevic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Handerson on the ground.

Dobrosavljevic might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dobrosavljevic preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Handerson sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Handerson trying to control the position from guard on top but Dobrosavljevic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Handerson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Handerson tries to free his leg and advance position but Dobrosavljevic is retaining full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Handerson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Handerson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Dobrosavljevic thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Handerson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Handerson lands in his opponent's guard.
Handerson's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Handerson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Handerson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Dobrosavljevic throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Dobrosavljevic is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Handerson is controlling him.
Handerson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dobrosavljevic's head.

Dobrosavljevic is trying to control the position but Handerson postures up.

Handerson stands up over Dobrosavljevic, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Handerson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Handerson is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Dobrosavljevic is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

During a confident post fight interview, Dave Handerson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
