Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between William Wallace (ranked 2069 p4p, 3220 weight class) and Katsu Yamasaki (ranked 265 p4p, 382 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Katsu Yamasaki!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yamasaki closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wallace did well to prevent Yamasaki getting side control.

Wallace wants to improve his position but Yamasaki is controlling well.
Wallace trying to control but Yamasaki postures up.
Wallace is looking for a sweep. Yamasaki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Wallace misses with some strikes from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yamasaki is working for a submission of some sort.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yamasaki is keen to just control but Wallace is a slippery customer.

Wallace has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Yamasaki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wallace is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Yamasaki is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wallace knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wallace is looking to improve his position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wallace manages to get to full guard.

Wallace isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Yamasaki stacks Wallace on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Yamasaki!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wallace shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Yamasaki is trying to defend but Wallace finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Yamasaki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wallace doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wallace manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wallace drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yamasaki manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wallace has Yamasaki in his guard.

Yamasaki is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wallace tries to roll over but Yamasaki keeps him under control.

Wallace is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Yamasaki pulls his head out easily.

Yamasaki passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Wallace!

Yamasaki wants to finish this one by submission but Wallace is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Yamasaki.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that William Wallace will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Yamasaki feints and as Wallace raises his hands in defense, Yamasaki changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Wallace has his foot on Yamasaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yamasaki works his way back into a safe position though.
We've been informed that Yamasaki has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Wallace is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Yamasaki rolls with it to try and escape but Wallace cranks on the arm and Yamasaki is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
